Wagamama - Swindon Outlet - Japanese
Wagamama is a chain of restaurants in the UK known for its Japanese cuisine.
The restaurants are usually very well located on the High Streets or the dining areas associated with any mall. This places offers dining for small and large groups, though there might be waiting.
The kids menu is superb and the activity sheets and crayons help.
The kids I have usually gone with end up coloring the kids chopsticks! ( Very engaging and gives adults a chance to have a conversation).
Talking about the Swindon branch of the Wagamama franchise, this is located inside the Swindon Outlet Centre. Typically after a day of shopping, you would probably like to crash at this place, wanting to rest and eat :)
Ambience:
Very casual and relaxed. There are long tables with benches allowing a single or multiple groups to dine on the same table. For kids, they offer the traditional highchairs and even the "screw on table" chairs ( though some kids and even mums don't really like those). So ask and use the one that you are more comfortable with.
There is outside spacing as well overlooking the Steam. Though it is fair to warn that it can be quite busy and noisy over the weekends.
Food:
Amazing amazing food! Start with the "on-the-house" green tea and work up that appetite.
The range of Appetizers is quite good with lots of non-vegetarian and vegetarian options to choose from. I am a vegetarian so I will focus more on veggies :)
A recently added option to the menu is the Bang Bang cauliflower. Rich in flavors, these are cauliflower florets stir fried with sauces. ( Usually most branches run out of this dish, especially on a weekend) So you may want to book yours at the earliest. The quantity can vary from the time of day.
The Gyozas ( dumplings) are another good option.
For the main course , there are many many options to choose from. You could go for the Pad Thai, or the Veg Katsu Curry. The Chicken Firecracker is really popular as well for those who like spicy food.
In the drinks , you could get the variety of fresh juices. There's Positive if you feel like a Boost or Tropical for a flavour of the exotic. These are available in Regular or Large sizes.
